La Mime - (Screening B)

While Jean is performing his regular mime routine, he looks over to find Marie, La Mime! After two failed attempts to draw her attention, he pantomimes throwing a water balloon her way. To our surprise, the water balloon materializes and breaks on an audience memberÍs face. And so begins this battle that stretches the rules of reality, where the objects the mimes manipulate come to life before our eyes. What begins as a gentle flirtation, escalates into a full-on war between the mimes. They are no longer trying to show off to their respective audience members, but obliterate each other instead. Finally, Marie shoots Jean with a canon filled with pillows, and they both end up on the ground, exhausted. To their surprise, there is a huge crowd watching this altercation, who apparently mistook it for a grandiose performance. This brings them to their senses and makes them really look at each other for the first time. They like what they see.
